Balmoral and Terrace Guest House

Hi everyone!

I recently stayed in Sunderland for the weekend and just had to write about the guest house that we stayed in.
As usual, we left it so last minute to book a room and I was being such a stress head! We then found the Balmoral and Terrace Guest House. It was right on the beach front and 10 minutes away from where we where attending an event, perfect! They didn't have many rooms left which is always a good sign. When booking, the only room they had left to fit us in, was a double bedroom with a shared bathroom. I know many people aren't too fussed on shared bathroom but having travelled a ton of times, this didn't bother us in the slightest.

On arrival, there was private parking at the front of the hotel which was perfect for us, with a toddler in tow! The guest houses looked super cute, however the view in front of it was just amazing!

We where met as soon as we parked and where took to our room, the lady explained that they had a bigger room free, so we would be staying in there instead. We where delighted! We ended up staying in a five bedroom room with a cot and en-suite. The room seemed to be 'zebra' themed, which the little one loved! There was large storage areas and hangers! (I hate the way some places you stay have no hangers). The beds where mega comfy! I told Chris that he had lots of bed choices, in case he got on my nerves and I kicked him out the double! I was pleasantly surprised that we had a large fridge and microwave in the room, along with a kettle and of course, teabags.
The bathroom was big enough for us, and plenty of space for makeup products! We had towels which again was handy. Every room in the guest house also had free wifi!

We had a really good nights sleep and didn't hear any other noise or people coming in from 9pm.
For breakfast, there was so much choice. We started with cereal, yogurt, fruit, and fresh juice. Chris then went for a full English where as I opted for poached egg and sausage on toast. I can not believe how much choice was on offer. We where literally full up for the rest of the day! The owners will also adapt to any needs that you may have when ordering.

We payed on checkout and could not get over the price. All together it came to £50!
From the service to the room, I could not fault anything. The staff where so welcoming and we will definitely be back again soon!
