What I'm loving-Late Spring Edition

Hello readers of Words By Hannah Rosalie! I’m Leanne and whilst I can usually be found over at my blog Little Babble, Hannah has kindly let me write a guest post for her today whilst she is off on holiday. Jealous? Me? No no… okay, totally am! Anyway, jeaIousy aside I thought that for my post I would write about some of my favourite routine changes and product additions that I will be making this late spring!

A Pop of Colour
One of my favourite things about the warmer months is just how bright and colourful everything is and adding a pop of brighter, lighter colours to my lips and nails is one of my favourite ways to embrace spring. Two of my favourite bright pink lip colours are Topshop's Brighton Rock and MAC's Impassioned. When it comes to nail varnish I'm a big fan of making the most out of pastels in the spring, which is where some of Models Own's light but colourful pastel shades come in to play. My favourites pictured here are Jade Stone, Lemon Meringue and Lilac Dream.

Springy Scents

Another fantastic thing about spring is the smells; flowers start to blossom, the grass gets cut and the air is fresher. It is the perfect time of year to get out that lighter, floral fragrance in the day and leave stronger scents until the evening. A couple of my favourites this year will be Marc Jacobs' Daisy and The Body Shop's Japanese Cherry Blossom.

Taking Care in the Sun

As a naturally pale girl, I like to give myself a little bit of colour in the spring but as i'm not a huge fan of sun beds (truth be told they scare me a little!) I turn to a tanning mitt and a bottle of St Moriz to get me by and make me look a little less ghostly. The suns rays in the UK can often catch people by surprise, and many people often go without sun screen and end up looking like a lobster* so I always make sure to put some sun screen on before I head out. To protect my skin I change my moisturiser in spring time to one with an SPF. This Seaweed one from The Body Shop is one of my favourites as it doesn't turn me into a grease ball by lunch time!

* Talking from experience here.

I hope that you have a fantastic holiday, Hannah and thank you for letting me guest post on your blog!
Do any of you make product changes with the seasons? I'd love to know what your favourite Spring products are.
